Yoga spans back thousands of years, with it's origins in India but it's intrinsic wisdom already imbedded deep within our cellular make up. The word Yoga means "to become One". It might seem like a lofty idea but you've probably had a glimpse of Yoga more recently than you think...perhaps when you were skiing, gardening or in commUNION with Nature and loved ones.
Hatha Yoga is a practice that uses the physical body (through postures, breathing exercises, cleansing techniques and meditation) to help still the body/mind so that we might experience that same state of Oneness (or Yoga) we experience in Nature. After all, isn't the human body just another expression of Nature?
Whether your brand new to yoga or you've been practicing for years, it is my hope that you will continue to be curious and playful about the Nature of you. Wherever we go on our individual journeys, may we inspire ourselves and each other so that we remember who we Truly are.
