Furthermore, the philosophy of yoga sits as a bridge between religion and modern day science, offering deep insights into humanity's spiritual questions.
The word yoga means "to unify" or "become One" and while it might seem like a lofty idea, you've probably had a glimpse of Yoga more recently than you think! Have you ever felt "one with everything" when you were hiking, gardening or in commUNION with nature and loved ones?
Hatha Yoga is a holistic practice which involves physical postures, yogic breathing and meditation. The asanas (postures) and the breath serve as an anchor for the mind, resulting in a heightened awareness of the present moment.
